WHAT MAKES US DIFFERENT?
Our non-diet approach to sports nutrition focuses on total nutrition for performance and health without prioritising weight loss, instead emphasising specific nutrient needs for function, life, training, performance and recovery. There are many myths about losing weight perform better, and we’re here to crush them - read more here.
We work with you to create sustainable and healthy behaviours, such as, consuming a varied nutrient intake, adjusting this to type, intensity and duration of exercise and health needs. to optimise energy, training adaptations, performance, and health. In reality, our work is so much more than this, and we often explores wider concepts that influence our nutrition world and food choices, like diet culture, nutrition marketing and the sports environment.
“Performance nutrition isn’t about rigid rules - it’s about flexibility, freedom, and finding the fuel that works for you.”
Yes, super structured plans work for some, but for many people, constantly thinking, counting, timing, or tracking food often becomes overwhelming, and problematic. As an active person or athlete, you already juggle training, work, and life - nutrition should support you, not add extra stress. A healthy relationship with food is just as important as fuelling performance!
That’s where working with us can make the difference. You’ll gain confidence in how to fuel adequately, while freeing up mental space for the things that really matter to you!

WHY DON’T YOU ADVOCATE WEIGHT LOSS?
We get that most people think of a Dietitian or Nutritionist and weight loss being best friends, but the truth is, there’s always more than meets the eye. 95% of diets fail in the long term when this is defined as maintaining weight loss for a mere 2–5 years. Coupled with all the biological and psychological fall out caused, and that it’s actually the sustained healthy behaviours e.g. movement, diet quality, sleep, stress, social connection, that demonstrate strong, independent effects on long-term health, whether or not weight changes occur, it’s like a light bulb moment. If dieting was a drug or medication, it wouldn’t be fit for purpose, given the almost inevitable failure rate, except a few unicorns in the mix! Read more on our blog about this.
We acknowledge that weight concerns are highly prevalent in sport and exercise, but restrictive eating and dieting are not the solution, and quite often cause more harm than good. There are other ways to approach these concerns that prioritise health, performance, and well-being. By focusing on these, we can achieve your goals in a more sustainable and balanced way.
