Hey, I’m Becky, Specialist Sports Dietitian and founder of The Performance Pantry. I started this micro-business back in 2015 with a mission to offer everyday exercisers and athletes the opportunity to access trusted nutrition advice from a qualified profesisonal. There is SO much conflicting and BS “advice” out there, and everyone seems to think they are a nutrition “expert”.

Not only do we have some serious nutrition qualifications, and lots of other health & exercise knowledge, but we also have a tonne of experience working with real people who aren’t text books!

We believe that no matter someone’s age, ability, body size or identity, having solid nutrition advice from trusted professionals can really support health, training and performance. Every BODY is welcome :)

We are so lucky to work with a huge range of amazing active people (just like you!) and elite athletes. In addition to our work here, we hold consultancy roles with professional teams, organisations and Te Whatu Ora.

    I have over 15 years experience as a Dietitian, and 10 years within elite sport in NZ. I am currently working with a range of elite NZ athletes, elite and pre-professional dancers. I love helping people realise their potential through nutrition, that extends far beyond weight or appearance - let’s chat about all the other nutrition strategies that optimise health & performance! I really enjoy helping people understand how to fuel appropriately; which can lead to better training, better health and improved performance - only good things! It is hugely rewarding to help someone develop their own plan, smash through the nutrition myths (and there are a LOT) and provide long lasting nutrition skills for life and future adventures.

I’ve had first-hand experience of the positive effects of nutrition for training and performance as an elite junior rower. I also know what it feels like when it you don’t get it “right”, and I’m passionate to share my knowledge on how to develop your best plan!

I know exactly what it’s like to manage training early morning, head off to study immediately after, complete another grueling afternoon session, rush home to dinner, then repeat it all again the next day. Let me share my tips with you!

I just completed my first half iron-man in 5 hours 37 min, was 2nd in my age group and 5th female overall :)

    I believe good nutrition it is important to help achieve training and performance goals and still have enough in the tank to balance health and well-being. I know this first-hand from my own experience as an endurance runner, training and competing in marathon and ultramarathon distance, but also professionally from over 15 years clinical nutrition experience. I love providing advice to fellow endurance folk so they can hit the trails or the road confidently and in the best health possible! Great health breeds great performance :)

    I’m currently training for a summer of 50km trail runs around the motu.
